You might have noticed the bright red and blue sculpture perched over the fountain at the Piazza Carmel shopping center in Carmel Valley, a suburb of San Diego, CA and next to Del Mar, CA. It was rebuilt over three months and unveiled April 25, 2008 in a ribbon cutting led by Councilman Peters and officials from the Del Mar Chamber of Commerce.

The sculpture was built around 1991 and was deteriorating. The steel framework and plaster around it were replaced by Advanced Drywall and Plaster, then repainted by local artist John Whalen.

To celebrate the completion, the center hosted music and free food from local restaurants with the ribbon cutting by the Del Mar Regional Chamber of Commerce.
